Another short skincare stash update from me, with very little I got sent or purchased myself. Some skincare form Sunday Riley and some makeup replacements for things I had run out of, a mascara from L’Oréal and an eye liner from Maybelline. That doesn’t mean I didn’t spend money last month though! We redid my office space/ filming studio with a standing desk so I can move a little during the long hours I spend at my desk and the whole setting up for filming process gets easier. It isn’t finished yet (why do these things always take triple the amount of time you allocate to them?), but I will share some impressions in the video linked below.

As for not being sent as much as previously – I was expecting that with the current political turmoil regarding tarifs and just general insecurity about how things will perform. I have had many US based brands sending me their products, and quite a few have stopped shipping to Germany for the time being. Not a problem though, I still have access to a multitude of interesting things to buy myself, so don’t worry – I am not about to stop posting just yet.

New In from Sunday Riley
I had to look it up – the oldest mention Sunday Riley gets on my blog is from September 2014, shortly after I started blogging, and the last mention April 2019. The brand has been with me for a long time, but I kind of switched focus to other brands after the Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Oil left me a little underwhelmed and not long after the controversy about the brand allegedly writing fake comments on sales websites. They settled and the case was dropped, but it still left a weird feeling. That and the many other new and shining brands were the reason I haven’t really mentioned them much since.
Now though I have two new (to me) serums to talk about: The Sunday Riley A+ High-Dose Retinoid Serum (30 ml for 79 €, full review coming soon) and the Sunday Riley C.E.O. 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum (30 ml for 79 €, full review coming soon). I haven’t played much with either of them, but I admit the High-Dose Retinoid Serum that, at least upon my first impression – I might change my mind – is more of a medium than a high dose product immediately brought back memories of the 2019 incident.
Still, I promise not to judge the book by its cover – or the product by the brands history – here and see how I like it with a few more weeks of using it.

New in Makeup
I can’t say how many times already I repurchased this mascara (I mean I probably could if I count through my empties post of the last three years, but I can’t be bothered to do that), but it has been A LOT. Still, the L’Oréal Air Volume Mascara in Black (9 ml for 11,95 €, full review coming eventually) still hasn’t a dedicated review on here. Probably because I am rubbish at taking pictures of my lashes and you can’t really review a mascara without the proper lash pictures. At least the chance is still there, seeing that I now have yet another tube to finally make that happen…
Along the same lines the eye liner I used previous to this newly purchased one has no review up either, but is by now so dried down I am not sure I will still be able to make it happen. Here is to hoping that the Maybelline Tattoo Liner Ink Pen in Jet Black (1 ml for 8,95 €) will have more luck. Maybe I could at least scribble a little on the back of my hand to show how fine you can draw with it?
I promise I will try.

New In the couch
I have included a few snippets of the new office in the video above (mainly as kick in the butt to finally get it to halfway there and put away the empty boxes littering the floor), but if you for whatever reason can’t be bothered to watch it despite its short length, I wanted to at least show you the couch. I spend hours strolling through different furniture stores, never finding what I was looking for until I (by accident, I swear) found myself in the „young and modern living“ section of one of them. I tend to avoid them because I don’t think that there is anything young and modern in my lifestyle as is and that I will probably feel very pathetic being around stuff that will give me back pain just by looking at it, but there it was and it was glorious and beautiful and very, very comfortable and so I bought it.
My daughter was with me that day and the lady at check-out immediately assumed it was for her and commented how very fitting it was for a young girls room, but honestly at that point I didn’t care anymore. I picked up different printed cushions to throw on it and still feel very age appropriate, thank you for asking.
